In October, Mikele Stillman gave us a realistic view of what life was like
during World War II. Gillian Strock and her committee prepared a delectable array of snacks and desserts. We commend them for their hard work.
During the meeting, the membership voted to use monies from our 50/50
raffle to purchase water filters for Uganda. Sixty one percent of Uganda’s population does not have access to safe water and one one of three infants die because of unsafe water. Our objective is to help one village in Father Charles Ocul’s homeland. I hope you can find it in your hearts to support this project.
November’s meeting gave us insight into the literacy problem in York County. Thank you to Terese Royer and Nancy Wright for organizing an informative afternoon.
What a beautiful Christmas party we shared this past weekend, a wonderful start to the advent season. Thank you to the committee, Emy Delgaudio and her dancers, and the York Catholic chorus members,
directed by Lisa Pantano, who made this day so special.
Deacon Jeff Baylor will be the speaker for our January meeting. Past experience tells us this will make
for an engaging afternoon.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
May God Bless You and Mary Keep You,
