Annual Fashion Show
Planning for the annual fashion show is well under way. The committee has been working hard all year. Our theme this year is "Singin’ in the Rain". Our menu will consist of your choice of chicken or salmon served with local asparagus and spring onion risotto, or a Zucchini Boat stuffed with a risotto and a vegetable medley. Dessert will consist of a lemon blueberry cheesecake. As in past years, there will be a cash bar.
Invitations for the event will be going out Beginning of March. We encourage you to also extend invitations to acquaintances, family and friends to spend an afternoon of fashion, lunch and retail all while garnering interest in a club of blessed, spiritual members with truly much to share.
This year we will be having a 50/50 raffle. We will still have raffle baskets as in prior year. Tickets for these will be $1 each or 6 for $5. Additionally, we will once again be having a silent auction. Bids will be accepted up until 2:00pm the day of the event. We will be announcing the winners of all the items prior to the end of the event so that you may pay for your item and take it home with you that day. All payments must be in the form of cash or check.
We need your help! We are looking for donations of filled baskets or gift cards/items to fill baskets for our raffle table. Remember all proceeds from this event go to fund our scholarship program. Please consider putting together a basket for this worthwhile event
Please remember to RSVP by April 7, 2018. You will be asked your entrée choice at the time of RSVP. The event is from 11:30-3:00p on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at The Country Club of York.
Fashion Show Chairperson
The Mass & Communion Breakfast / Installation of Officers will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Members of the Catholic Woman’s Club will be sitting together in a special section at the Immaculate Conception BVM Church (St. Mary’s) at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on May 20. Afterwards, please join us for a champagne breakfast at the Windows Ballroom of Heritage Hills Golf Resort. Doors open at 10:15 a.m. (free parking & handicapped accessible!) There will be a featured speaker and the 2018 – 2019 Board of Directors will be inducted. Cost is anticipated to be $22.00 per person. Check the next newsletter for more information on how to RSVP.
